Jason K Swedberg

Jason K. Swedberg, 40 of Worcester, passed away Friday, October 18th, 2019 from injuries suffered in his own home. 

Jason was born in Worcester on May 24th, 1979, the son of Nancy E. (Ginese) Swedberg and the late Norman K Swedberg.  He graduated from St Peter-Marian High school class of 1997 where he played football.  He then attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.  Jason was a jack of all trades who spent most of his life doing apprentice work for various companies in the Worcester County area. 

Jason is survived by his mother, Nancy Swedberg of Worcester; his brother, Scott Swedberg of Leominster; a sister, Chele Salliby of Dayville CT; two nieces, Eva and Tatum Swedberg; his aunt Paula Joinville, her husband Bernard (Butch) Joinville, and his uncle Steven Ginese of Worcester. Many cousins and loving family. members. He is predeceased by his father Norman Swedberg; his sister Diane Swedberg; and his brother Robert Swedberg.

Jason grew up playing youth hockey for Mid State swapping between forward and goalie. An artist, he loved to draw freehand, and was an avid fan of music who loved to cook. Jason had a heart of gold, and could always be counted on to help anyone who needed a hand.  

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Wednesday October 23rd from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. There will be no burial at this time.  A celebration of life mass will be held on Sunday October 27th at 1pm at St Bernard’s Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish, 236 Lincoln St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name can be made to Adcare Hospital 107 Linclon St Worcester Ma 01605.
