Bradford G. "Buzz" Taylor

June 22, 1953 — January 30, 2023

Bradford G. “Buzz” Taylor, 69, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital following a short illness.

Born in Holden, the son of the late John Taylor and Anna (Ellis) Taylor, he is predeceased by his sister Marion Poole. Buzz grew up in Worcester where he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He worked in the printing industry for over 40 years, predominantly at Macdonnell Printers and Checkerboard Printers prior to his retirement.

An avid music lover and accomplished guitarist, Buzz played in several popular Worcester area bands throughout many years. In his later years and during retirement, he enjoyed producing and recording music for several popular musicians in his recording studio. He was often found in his studio playing guitar and listening to records.

Buzz loved being in nature and became a knowledgeable bird watcher in retirement. He was often awake at dawn and found filling his beloved bird feeders for an eventful day of bird watching. He was a loyal New England sports fan, especially loyal to his beloved Patriots and Red Sox. Buzz was known for his gentle nature and relentless sense of humor. He was the life of the party at the countless cookouts and parties he hosted in his home and would often have his friends and family laughing for hours on end.

Buzz is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen (Loconsolo) Taylor, four children; Cindy Prifti of Shrewsbury, Michael Taylor of New Braintree, Briana Taylor of Worcester, and Elise Taylor of Worcester. He leaves 5 grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. He also leaves his best friend of 52 years, Michael Simpson of Worcester, whom he considered to be his brother.

His gentle spirit, sense of humor, and his love and talent of music he shared with so many will be sorely missed. He was someone who lit up the room when he entered it and he was welcoming and kind to everyone he met and knew.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2-4 PM, with a memorial service immediately following at 4:00PM at Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
