Zanelle S. Tucker

Zanelle S. Tucker, of Worcester, was taken from us too soon and passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was 30 years old.
Zanelle was born in Worcester and has lived here all her life until recently moving to Greensboro, NC a year ago. She was a graduate from Burncoat High School where she excelled artistically and even received a scholarship to attend college courses for her artistry. Zanelle was extremely talented whether it was drawing, painting or anything with the arts. Much of Zanelle’s work is showcased at Burncoat High School and Clark University. In addition to her artistic abilities, Zanelle loved to sing especially gospel and R&B music. She also loved to cook, but her main priority was her boys. Zanelle loved taking care of them and they always came first. She also had her faith and would attend both Second Baptist Church and Church of Pentecostal both in Worcester.
Zanelle leaves behind her two sons, Zion and Amory Anokye, their father Kofi Anokye and his son, Nazaiah Anokye all of Webster; her parents, Fletcher Carpenter, Jr. and Laura A. Tucker both of Worcester; two sisters, Tamika Carpenter of Florida and Taffiana Tucker of Worcester; four brothers, Jermaine Humphrey, Rahean, Fletcher and Michael Kelley all of Worcester; her paternal grandmother, Annette Coleman of Worcester; her children’s paternal grandmother and uncle, Mercy Adomaa and John Carter both of Worcester; sixteen nieces and nephews; four uncles, seven aunts and many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Melvin and Geraldine (Paolini) Tucker; her paternal grandfather, Fletcher Carpenter, Sr.; and four uncles.
Zanelle’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 9 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, October 25th from 4-8 pm in the funeral home.
