Wilbur J. Elia

Wilbur J. Elia, 83, of Shrewsbury, a long-time educator, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Will was born in Worcester, son of the late, Wilfred and Jeanette (Belanger) Elia, and was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline. He grew up in Worcester and served in the National Guard, before settling in Shrewsbury. Will was a Social Studies Teacher for many years in the Sutton school system.

Will is survived by his cousins, Roy and Cindy Courchaine; his Goddaughter and cousin, Paula Gentile; a close friend, Nick Miranda and Nick’s dog, Bruce Wayne.

Funeral Services were held privately.

Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel assisted his family with arrangements.
