Venice E. Reid Fouchard

Venice E. Fouchard, 65, of Leicester, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, after a period of declining health.

Venice was born in Bombay, Manchester, Jamaica, to the late Lester and Georgiana Reid. In 1974, she migrated to the United States with her siblings to join her parents in the Bronx, New York. She attended Alfred College in upstate New York and began her career as an assistant to a well-known fashion designer at Macy’s, where her passion for the fashion industry began. She later established her own company, Venice Fouchard Couturiere of New York. Venice married Joel Fouchard, and together they welcomed their daughter, Michella.

After visiting her sister in Massachusetts, Venice made the bold decision to relocate her family and business to Worcester. There, she built an illustrious career blending her love of food and fashion. She founded OneLove Café at 800 Main Street in Worcester and One Love Ma MaeBelle Café in the Worcester Public Market, proudly serving students from nearby colleges and universities and connecting with immigrants from many cultures. Venice also hosted and participated in numerous community and social events, always eager to give back.

Venice is survived by her daughter, Michella; sisters Fay Francis (Florida), Gloria Reid (New York), Maureen Hall (Worcester), Dr. Karen Reid-Renner (Indiana), and Nordia Balch (Jamaica); brothers Noel Smith (New York), George Reid (Canada), and Albert Reid (Jamaica); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Venice loved animals, especially dogs, and over the years was the devoted mom to two beloved dogs. She loved people deeply and was a friend to all, known for her bright smile, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.

A celebration of life service will be held on April 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Calvary Worship Center in Holden, Massachusetts.
