Tiet Thi Tran-Luong

Tiet Thi Tran-Luong, 70 of Worcester passed away surrounded by the family she loves Sunday, May 31st 2026, after a series of health challenges.

Tiet was born September 6, 1955 in Loc Ninh, South Vietnam the daughter of Chon Van Tran and Biet Thi Pham. Raised in Vietnam, she immigrated to the United States in 1980, where she met and married the love of her life Hai Van Luong in 1982, and settled in Worcester, where they raised their family with love and faith. She attended Clark University and Nichols College earning her degree in accounting. After earning her degree, she became a loved employee of St. Marks School in Southborough in the accounting department for the past 31 years.

Tiet leaves her husband Hai; three children, Alexander Luong, his wife Linh and their children, Adam and Abigail of Worcester, Alicia Anh Luong of Shrewsbury, and Trong Dang Vu in France; two brothers and four sisters, in Germany and Vietnam; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, she cherished caring for and having her family around her. The moments that will be remembered greatest will be those during holidays, birthdays and celebrations. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, notably making jewelry with beads and other materials.

Family and friends are invited to gather with the Luong family, Monday, June 8th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, June 9th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Vilna, 153 Sterling St. Worcester where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will be private.
