Listen to Obituary

Thaddeus P. “Ted” Skowronski, III, 46, of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, while surrounded by loving family at Saint Vincent Hospital, following complications from surgery.

Ted is survived by his loving mother, who was also his best friend, Patricia A. (Viscosi) Sheehan and her husband Walter C. Sheehan, Ted's stepfather of 30 years who was just like a father to him. Ted lived at home with them along with his aunt, Debbie Hobby. He also leaves his aunt, Paula Skowronski, and two cousins, Linette and Katie. Ted was born in Worcester, son of the late, Thaddeus P. Skowronski, Jr., who died in 1989, and has lived in Oxford his whole life.

Ted was a dedicated and conscientious employee having worked in customer service most of his career, and was awarded several times with a “Gold Award for Excellence” in customer care and for perfect work attendance. Ted has been working with Wind River Environmental for almost a year, having previously worked for Spectrum for twelve years.

Ted loved his family tremendously and truly enjoyed their Sunday afternoon UNO games. He was the apple of his mother’s eye and will be remembered by all who knew him for his loving and generous heart. Ted was an avid sports fan and could quote sporting stats off the top of his head. He collected sporting memorabilia and enjoyed going to the casino or Myrtle Beach to golf with friends.

Ted’s wit and humor entertained us, and he was so smart it amazed us on our nightly watching of the Jeopardy game; he often had more correct answers than the contestants did.

Ted will be deeply missed by all.

Services are being held privately.

Since Ted had a deep love of animals....especially shelter animals in need of a good home....Contributions in Ted's name may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter in East Brookfield.

The family has entrusted Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel.
