Teresa Nader

Teresa (Assad) Nader of Greenfield, MA, formerly a longtime resident of Worcester, MA, passed away in her home on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Teresa was born in Worcester and is the daughter of the late Massoud J. and Louise “Hindia” (Nader) Assad. She graduated from North High School and later attended classes at Becker Junior College. Teresa was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the Most Holy Trinity Monastery, in Petersham, MA.

Teresa’s husband of 48 years, Maurice Nader, passed away in 1997. She is survived by a son, David Nader, and his longtime companion, Donna Martocci, of Massachusetts; three daughters, Janice Peterson and her husband, Paul, of South Carolina, Andrea Yantsides and her husband, Ted, of New York, and Laurice Sudar and her husband, Peter, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Bethany, Celine, T.J., Alexandra, Christopher, Peter Joseph (II), and Maurice Anthony; six great grandchildren, Emma, twins Kristin and Kaitlynn, James, Teresa, and Kestrel; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.

In keeping with Teresa’s wishes, there are no calling hours. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 341 June St, Worcester. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, also in Worcester. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL of Worcester, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
