Susan (Danzilio) Wolfson

Susan C. (Danzilio) Wolfson, 73 of Marlborough, passed away peacefully Monday, March 23, 2026, after a period of declining health.

Susan was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Valarioti) Danzilio. Raised in Marlboro, Susan graduated from Marlborough High School and earned her associates degree from Grahm Junior College in Boston. Susan then went on to have an illustrious career as an executive secretary for major well-known companies in San Francisco, New York City and Chicago for companies such as Loreal Cosmetics, before retiring.

Susan is survived by her a sister: Denise Griben and her husband Andre in Berlin, Maryland; two brothers, Michael Danzilio in Babylon NY, and David Danzilio and his wife Lucille of Albuquerque New Mexico; an aunt Florence “Flo” Murgo; many Nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members, notably her cousins, Anthony and Dominic Murgo and Dominic Valarioti whom she grew up with.

Susan loved animals notably dogs, and over the years had Labrador and golden retrievers, and her favorite being beagles. She loved to travel, decorate, shop, the beach, and the holidays, especially Christmas eve with her large Italian family. She loved people, had a knack for logistics which gave her the ability to be excellent at her job. A friend to all, Susan had a bright smile, huge heart and generous way about her always willing to help someone in need.

All are invited to gather with the family for calling hours Saturday, March 28th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm followed by her funeral service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial with her parents will be private.      In lieu of flowers and her love for animals, remembrances in her name can be made to the second chance animal shelter, 831 Main Street, Worcester.
