Susan B. Wheaton

Susan (Bohenko) Wheaton, 80, of Webster, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at UMass Hospital in Worcester. She was predeceased by her spouse, Vicky Laney.

Susan is survived by her children, Thomas Wheaton and his wife Daranee, Chad Wheaton and his wife Yuri, and Heather Wheaton; five grandchildren, Ian, Sam, Minato, Sareya, and Chotana; six siblings, Patrick, Peggy, Joanne, Richard, Mary, and Luanne; and many nieces and nephews. Susan was born in Ayer, Massachusetts in 1945, daughter of the late, Anthony R. and Rita (Gevry) Bohenko. She grew up in Webster and graduated from Bartlett High School and served in the United States Navy.

Besides her family and Church, Susan had an obsessive love of the Red Sox and was always optimistic about the season. She would sometimes get “the itch” to travel down to Foxwoods to try her luck at her favorite slot machines, but she was just as happy recalling stories of her travels to Disney and Vegas. She was a member of Saint Louis Church in Webster, where she felt a closeness to her faith.
