Shawn M. Shays

Shawn M. Shays, 30 of Worcester passed away in Saint Vincent Hospital on Sunday, June 6, 2021, with his family beside him.

Shawn was born on May 4, 1991, in Gardner, Massachusetts and was preceded in death by his father, Harry L. Shays, III. He was a graduate of North High School.

He is survived by his daughter, Neyalei Jaydes Shays; his mother, Kelley B. Shays; a brother, Patrick Shays; three sisters, Amanda Diaz, Melinda, and Brittany Shays; his maternal grandmother, Gloria LeBlanc; three nephews, Marcus, Kavin and Patrick Shays, Jr. and two nieces, Bella & Leah.

Shawn was a loving, kind-hearted man who would help anyone that needed him with no questions asked.  He was a goofball, he loved to dance and rap.  He always wanted to put a smile on your face and touched so many hearts.  

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  A prayer service will be celebrated in the funeral home at the end of calling hours.   Burial will be held privately.
