Sharon Audette

March 11, 1943 — November 5, 2023

With sadness and bittersweet gratitude, the Audette family and friends announce the death of Sharon Audette (nee Mary Sharon Flood), aged 80 of Worcester, Massachusetts after a long struggle with dementia.

Sharon was born on March 11, 1943 in Worcester, Mass. She graduated from Burncoat High School and Salter Secretarial School. Sharon went on to marry and become a mother of two children. Sharon worked many roles in her life including Administrative Manager at Boston Floating Children’s Hospital, President of the Westboro YWCA, Managing Director of Dr. Peter Audette’s Dental Practice, President of her own company, "Success Unlimited”, business coach and public speaker.

Sharon was smart, hard-working and well-known for her strong will. She was not one to hold back her opinions and had a knack for telling it like it is. Her friends and family coined the phrase ‘Sharon Says’ …as she always had great advice and told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She was the kindest and caring friend, authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in her life.

Sharon was predeceased by her son David Audette. During his life and after his death, Sharon played a significant role in her grandchildren’s lives. She committed herself to their upbringing and care, spending many years prioritizing their needs above her own.

Sharon leaves behind her daughter, Michelle Audette, son-in-law, Ian Edgar and loving family friend and caretaker, Sherry Gidney. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Jason Audette, Kayla Audette and Patrick Dineen, as well as her daughter-in-law Arian Dineen and former spouse, Peter Audette.

There will be a small service for immediate family members only. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to Notre Dame du Lac, 555 Plantation Street Worcester, Mass, 01605, whose incredible staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure her final years were, in her words, “The most spoiled she has ever been her entire life”.
