Sami Karam, 82, took his last breath at home surrounded by his loving family and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 2, 2025.
Born in Zahle, Lebanon, Sami was the son of Michel and Nazira (Norma) Karam. He came to America in 1968 and worked in the restaurant business, where he met the love of his life, Nancy.
Affectionately known as “Sam the Man” among his Realtor colleagues, Sami spent 35 years as a Real Estate Broker with Century 21 Walsh and as the Owner-Broker of Sam Karam Real Estate Group.
Sami is survived by his devoted and loving wife and best friend of 53 years, Nancy (Collins) Karam. He leaves behind a legacy of loving, caring, and sharing to his dear children: Mike Karam of Dudley; David Karam and his wife, Anna, of Worcester; Guilnar Engwer and her husband, John, of Sutton; and Patricia Yanni and her husband, Andre, of North Carolina.
He also leaves seven cherished grandchildren who brought him endless joy: Alayna, Tyler, John, Izabella, Evan, Alex, and Ray.
Sami is survived by his siblings, Chawki Karam and his wife, Dolly, of Lebanon/Worcester; Bachour Karam of Lebanon; and his sister, Khouloud Ghorra, of Lebanon. He is also survived by his loving and caring sister-in-law, Cindy Cranson, and her husband, Don, of Sterling. He was predeceased by his sisters Maha, Graziella, and Guilnar.
Sami enjoyed gatherings with family and friends over good food and music. The song “We Are Family” encompasses our large community of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends and was played at many of our family celebrations & holidays. Sami will be truly missed by all his friends and family.
