Russell J. Danforth

Russell J. Danforth, 64, of Shrewsbury died peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Born September 4, 1959, in Nashua, New Hampshire. He was a longtime resident of Shrewsbury and attended Shrewsbury High School. He became a chef and worked for Denny’s and WPI for many years.

He was the son to Shirley Collaro and the late, Lawrence Danforth 

Russell was passionate about fishing, boating and loved the Boston sports teams especially the Boston Bruins. 

Russell leaves his mother, Shirley Collaro, of Lunenburg, MA, his sisters, Carmen LeClair and her husband Lawrence of Fitchburg, MA , Angela Dalessio of Shrewsbury, MA, and Kristina Johnson and her husband Andrew of Atlanta, GA., as well as three nieces and two nephews. 

Cremation arrangements will be facilitated through the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Russell’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
