Rudolf J. Dittmar, III, 78, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at UMass Hospital in Worcester.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. (Bonneville) Dittmar; two sons, Rudolf Dittmar IV of Florida and David Dittmar of Worcester; two stepdaughters, Natasha Pappoe of Millbury and Nakisha Pappoe of Worcester; five grandchildren, Ashtin Dittmar, Damien Dittmar, Kylian Dittmar, Aria Mejia, and Logon Mejia; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, David Dittmar. Rudolf was born in New Britain, CT, son of the late, Rudolf Dittmar, II and Barbara Austin. He serviced proudly in the United States Army.

Rudolf worked as a machinist at various mill companies including Guardian Photo. He loved cars, exploring space, and was a great story teller.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, August 1, from 9 am until a Prayer Service begins at 11 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
