Ruben Figueroa

Ruben Figueroa, 70, of Worcester, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by family Monday, August 18, 2025.

Ruben was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, one of eleven children of Eloy Figueroa and Josefina Feliciano. Ruben was raised, educated and worked as a School Custodian in Puerto Rico before retiring and moving to Worcester to be closer to family.

Ruben is survived by his wife of 37 years, Milagros Carrion; two daughters, Rose Figueroa and her husband Christopher Rosario, Luz Figueroa and her husband Jusue Gonzales all of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; great grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters; Nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends, both here and in Puerto Rico;

Ruben enjoyed reciting Poems, listening to Music, traveling to Puerto Rico to visit family and friends. The proudest moments in Ruben’s life were those spent with his family and having them all around him.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 24th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will be held Monday, August 25th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
