Roselda Y. “Rose” (Vincent) Kendall, 97, formerly of Shrewsbury, and N. Ft Myers Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Ellis who passed in June of 2001, and her daughter Ozina Frederick who passed away in March of 2019.

Rose was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frank and Roselda (Ritchie) Vincent and was their youngest child. Her siblings, Frank, Leo, Albert, Alphery, Henry Vincent, and Ozina (Vincent) Rocheleau, predeceased her. She married Ellis “Ken” Kendall, in 1956, and settled in Shrewsbury to raise their family, with faith and love, and working 30 years for the Paul Revere Life Insurance company before retiring in 1989 and moving to N. Ft Myers Florida, where she volunteered for the Ft Myers Chamber of Commerce, worked at Rose’s Fudge Kitchen, and assisted in the Souvenir shop of The Red Sox at JetBlue park for 15 years during spring training. She spent 30 years in Ft Myers moving back to Massachusetts to be near family in 2019.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Lori Kendall-Taylor and her fiancé, David Gentile of Leominster; and two grandsons she adored, Justin and Jamie Taylor; A son in law, David Frederick; A stepdaughter, Patricia Denham; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and daughter, three stepchildren, Ellis “Danny Kendall, Donna McLain, and Robert Kendall also predeceased her.

Rose was a member for over 50 years of the Order of Eastern Star and past Worthy Matron of Artemus Ward Chapter #220 in Shrewsbury, past member of the Germania Social Club of Shrewsbury, and the Red Hat Society in Ft Myers. Rose also volunteered for many committees both here and Ft Myers, notably running the Sunshine club at Lake Arrowhead for many years. She loved bingo, crafts, dancing and joining in wherever people gathered. Most important in Rose’s life through all her activities was her family, she cherished the time she could spend with them, on holidays, special occasions and family gatherings.

The Kendall family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Jewish Home Hospice and the Christopher House Nursing Home for the care and compassion they gave to our mother.

A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, June 12th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by her funeral service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the activities fund, care of the Christopher House activities fund, 10 Mary Scano Dr. Worcester.
