Rose-Marie (Boucher) McCluskey, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on June 14th at the age of 87, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard F. McCluskey Jr.
Rose raised her family in Worcester. She is survived by her four children Byron McCluskey and his wife Norma, of Sarasota, FL, Sandra Ragan and her husband James of Topsfield, MA, Lori Corcoran and her partner Darren Comeau of Fitchburg, MA, and Maureen Lawson and her husband Christopher, of Northborough, MA. Rose was the proud and beloved “Memere” to Frederick McCluskey, Theodore McCluskey, Kathleen Hager, Timothy Ragan, Veronica Corcoran, Caroline Corcoran, Audrey Kirwan, Yvonne Arne, Ethan Lawson, Millard Lawson, and Quin Lawson; and the great grandmother to Hallie, Maeve, and Colin.
She was one of eight siblings and is survived by her brother, Charles Boucher of Forest Falls, CA. She was predeceased by Al Boucher, Jean Vincelette, Rita LeBouef, Ernie Boucher, Emile Boucher, and Lorraine Wilczynski. She is also fondly remembered by 34 nieces and nephews.
A lifelong learner and dedicated professional, Rose earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Clark University in Worcester. She devoted much of her professional career to the Worcester Public School System.
Later in life, Rose found joy and friendship at Worcester Country Club Acres. She embraced new hobbies such as knitting and cribbage and treasured outings with her dear friends Helen, Jane, and Charlotte. Her family is forever grateful for the companionship and joy they brought into her life.
Visitation will be held at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605, on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 4-7 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated the following day, Monday, June 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish, 236 Lincoln St, Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rose’s memory to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605.
