Rosalina (Rodriguez) Ramos

Rosalina (Rodriguez) Ramos, 78, of Worcester, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on August 30, 1947, daughter of the late Hipolito and Santa (Nuñez) Rodriguez.

Rosalina was deeply passionate about the people she loved and the life she built around them. She cherished spending time with her family—especially gathering to play dominoes—and was a devout Christian whose faith guided her daily life. Each year, she looked forward to extended vacations in Puerto Rico to stay with her daughter, a time that brought her great joy and a deep sense of connection. She embraced every opportunity to be with her friends and neighbors, valuing community and togetherness above all.

Rosalina also had a gift for growing plants and found great joy in caring for them. Just as she nurtured what she grew, she had a remarkable way of anticipating the needs of others, offering kindness, help, and love even before it was asked for.

Rosalina is survived by her loving children Zonia Olivo, Rosa M. Torres-Hernandez, Awilda Torres, Jorge Torres and his life partner Jesenia, Edwin Torres and his wife Brendaliz; her adored grandchildren Daniel, Isaias, Caleb, Veronica, Irene, David, Irma, Ismael Jr, Eileen, Giovvany, Hector Jr., Haslin, Dinorah, Abraham, Saul, David, Elmer, Eric, Marlina, Joel, Zara, Rosemarry, Jeiline, Oliver, Melissa, Javier, Amy, Leslie. Her dear sibling, Manuel Rodriguez, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sadly, in addition to her parents, Rosalina was predeceased by her two sons, Ismael Torres Jr and Hector Torres, and grandson Obed Cotto.

Calling hours for Rosalina will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1:00p.m. until her Funeral Service at 4:00p.m. in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Rosalina will be laid to rest on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. A gathering period will be held at the funeral home from 9:00a.m. to 9:45a.m. prior to processing to the Cemetery.
