Rosalie (Pucci) Thomas

Rosalie A. (Pucci) Thomas, 81, a longtime Worcester resident passed away Thursday, June 19th, 2025, with her beloved family gathered at her bedside.

Rosalie was born in Worcester, one of three children of Mario and Rose (Ventura) Pucci. She graduated from Commerce High School and earned her associates degree from Becker Junior College. She married and spent her life in Worcester, 18 years at Salisbury Beach, before moving to Shrewsbury to be close to her family.

Rosalie loved children which lead her to her devoted work at Girls Inc as Assistant Director for over 15 years before retiring. She also previously worked as coordinator and a volunteer for the Salisbury Senior center and was on the board of trustees.

She is survived by her two children, her daughter and best friend, Michelle Zorge and her husband Frans of Shrewsbury, and son Marc Thomas of Worcester; three grandchildren she cherished, Ashley and Justin Zorge, and Alex Thomas; a niece Jennifer Neale of Worcester and a nephew Kenneth Neale of California along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A brother, Robert Pucci, sister Lisa Neale and her beloved pet dog Zoey predeceased her.

Rosalie found total peace on the beaches of Salisbury alongside her dog, with morning walks, relaxing or just sitting, watching the sun rise and set over the years. She enjoyed her time at Rusnisk’s Campground which she had done for over 40 years. Making lifelong friends, family, and constantly winning at cards. Rosalie enjoyed her time hanging out with her many new friends she had made at the Heights.

A period of calling hours from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by her funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 27th in St Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street Shrewsbury. Her burial with her parents will be held at a later time.
