Ronald W. Greenhalge, 90, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Orange City, Florida.
The son of Harry and Winifred (Kelley) Greenhalge, he was raised in Worcester, MA, and graduated from Worcester Vocational High School in 1952.
Ronald worked for several years at Wyman-Gordan before becoming a Worcester Police Officer, following his father’s long-term career. He became a Police Sergeant in 1976 and retired after 30 hard working years.
As a young man, Ronnie was a stand-out competitive archer, competing throughout New England. He was also a member of The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) with his treasured Indian motorcycle.
Ronnie had a great passion for his New England sports teams, most favorably the Patriots and Boston Celtics, and enjoyed playing pool with his friends.
Upon retiring, he and Janet relocated to Florida, their place of many vacations and much leisure.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Janet (Renaud) Greenhalge; 3 daughters, Susan Woolson, Leanne Setaro, and Beth Morgan and her husband, Sidney; 5 grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Stephanie, Stacy and John; 2 great-grandsons, James and Levi; 2 sisters, Carol Jewett and her husband, Don, and Lois LaBreck, and countless nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Ronald and Stephen; grandson, Stephen Jr.; 2 sisters, Joanne and Mary Ann Greenhalge, and son-in-law, William Setaro.
