Robin Paladino of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 62, surrounded by love after a courageous three-month fight in the hospital.
Robin was born in Rome, New York, on January 4th 1964, the daughter of James and Sharon Vanderpool. Strength showed up early in her life: in her twenties, she faced and survived thyroid cancer, and she went on to live every day after with courage, purpose, and a deep appreciation for the people around her.
Robin had a presence that filled a room. She was warm, generous, funny, and fiercely loyal. She was the friend who showed up, the one who stood by you when others walked away. Above all, she was a teacher and a mentor. Over many years she guided countless people through hard seasons of life, helping them heal, discover their own gifts, and find the courage to live as their true selves. Several who were drawn to her care came to call her "Mom."
Robin had a rare gift for bringing people together. She built a wide, caring community where those who felt like outsiders found acceptance and belonging. Friends often speak of her "ripple effect": the kindness she showed one person was passed on to many more.
She graduated from Quinsigamond Community College and then devoted over 35 years of her life working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, helping people to live better quality lives, upon retiring from OT she pursued her lifelong dream and opened Wolf Moon a new-age gift shop and spiritual learning center in Jefferson, MA.
Robin had a strong connection to wolves, and those who knew her say she had the spirit of one: fierce, loyal, protective of her pack, and wild at heart. She loved all animals, and had many pets of all kinds over her lifetime, and would always stop to help injured animals and find homes for strays.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Paladino, her parents, James and Sharon Vanderpool of Hopkinton, her brother Russ Vanderpool, and a large circle of friends, students, and chosen family whose lives are forever changed because of her.
A private family farewell will be held. A Celebration of Robin's Life for friends and community will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robin's memory to, Seacrest Wolf Sanctuary in Florida - https://www.seacrestwolfpreserve.org/donate
Robin taught so many people to live fully, love generously, and not fear the goodbyes. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
