It is with a heavy heart we announce that Robert “Bob” C. Parlante, 75, of Tequesta, FL, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Bob was born October 11, 1950, to the late Pasquale and Emma (Molinari) Parlante of Worcester.

Bob completed his bachelor’s degree in communications and speech at Emerson College in 1972 where he met the love of his life, Joan. Married 52 years, Bob and Joan resided in Upton where they raised their two children, Christopher and Jennifer. Bob was dedicated to his career as a successful radio personality and news broadcaster for WHDH radio in Boston for 25 years. Bob and his family later moved to Atlanta GA, where he worked for WSB radio before retiring to Tequesta, FL.

In his early years, Bob showed his musical and artistic talents through his drawings and accordion playing. Later, he enjoyed playing racquetball, softball, and basketball. He developed a passion for darts and became a member of a dart league in Boston.

Bob loved to spend time with his wife enjoying the Florida sun on Jupiter Beach and poolside. Bob enjoyed playing weekly card games with his wife and parents and later in life enjoyed cards games with his daughter and granddaughter. Bob enjoyed his leisure time sitting back in his recliner watching old classic movies and sports. Bob had a passion for New England sports, especially the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. Bob enjoyed talking about sports and playing fantasy football with his son and grandson.

Bob was a wonderful cook and took pleasure in cooking for his wife, daughter and many other family and friends.

Bob will always be remembered for his humorous and entertaining personality, always lighting up a room and making people laugh.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (Soucy) Parlante, his son Christopher Parlante and his wife Carol of Grafton, his grandchildren Anthony and Mia Parlante of Grafton, his daughter Jennifer Parlante of Tequesta, FL. Bob is survived and preceded by his mother and father-in-law, many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Services will be held in the Spring at a date and time to be announce.
