Robert “Bob” W. Lee, 77, a lifelong Worcester resident, passed away peacefully with the family he loved at his side, Tuesday April 15, 2025.
Bob was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Marguerite (Mayo) Lee. He graduated from North High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge and return home, Bob worked many years as a mechanic for M.J. Rudik & Sons, and most recently was working as a courier for Ballard Mack before his passing.
Bob is survived by his three children, Meredith T. Monfreda and her husband Derek, Brian J. Lee and his spouse Christina all of Worcester, Meaghan M. Garces and her husband Mario of Webster; his four cherished granddaughters, Mackenna, Alexa, Madison and Allyson; and his brother, David. G. Lee and his wife Suzanne of Holden; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
While in the Air Force during the late 60s Bob lived in Texas, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends including Hal Richey, who he remained friends with until Hal’s passing this February. His 1st car was a brand new green ‘67 Dodge Dart Swinger, which helped set in motion his career of working on vehicles.
Bob was an active third-degree knight of the Alhambra Knights of Columbus where he could be found with his friends every Friday night. He continued to bowl at AMF in Auburn into his 70s and never missed watching a Patriots game. Bob could always be found with a tool in hand, ready to help any of his children or friends whether around their houses or under the hoods of their cars. Most importantly he simply loved spending time with his children and granddaughters.
