Robert Eilertsen

Robert (Bob) Eilertsen, 72 formerly of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of his home in Lawrence on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026. from complications of diabetes.

Robert was born in Worcester, one of seven children of Olaf and Angela (DiLiddo) Eilertsen. Robert grew up in the Lakeview neighborhood of Worcester, graduated from North High School in 1972, and lived in Worcester, before moving to Lawrence. Robert worked as a Line Technician for Verizon and Honeywell Corporations.

Robert is survived by his longtime friend, Claire Compagnone, three siblings, Joe and his wife Sandi of North Kingstown RI, Danny and his wife Marie-Elena of Shrewsbury, Suzanne Rocklin of Newton, and a close cousin Beth Casello of Worcester, nephews, extended family, friends, and his pet dogs Busta and Patty. In addition to his parents, his twin brother, Richard “Chich”, sisters Kristine and Martha and her husband Stephen Norris and a loving niece, Jennifer all pre deceased him.

Robert, like his twin brother Richard, was a fun loving, humorous individual and an avid thoroughbred horse handicapper throughout his life. Robert was also a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.

At Roberts request funeral services and entombment with his parents and siblings in Notre Dame Mausoleum will be private. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
