Robert  J. “Robi” Beriau, Sr., 59, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away surrounded by the ones he loved, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, after a series of health challenges.

Robi was born in Worcester, one of five children of Yolanda N. (St Marie) Beriau and the late Paul L. Beriau.  Robi was raised in Worcester on Grafton Hill. At an early age he began a life working alongside his father, brothers, uncles and numerous cousins in the company his grandfather founded, J.A. Beriau and Sons Incorporated. He later retired from Silk Town Roofing several years ago.

Robi’s wife Cheryl (Moran) Beriau passed away last December.   He is survived by his son, Robert Beriau and his fiancée Michelle Ameral of Putnam CT; a stepson, Zachary Adair of Auburn; his mother Yolanda Beriau; two brothers, Paul G. Beriau and his wife Paula of Worcester, Peter Beriau and his life partner Carol of Natick; two sisters, Nicole Patricks and her husband Scott of Holden, Chantal Jhawar and her husband BJ of Windsor, Ontario Canada; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including his lifelong best friend Kerry Legor.

He was a hard worker and member of the National Roofers Union and locally the Roofers Union local 33.  He enjoyed his job, gardening, camping, campfires, and music. He most enjoyed the time he spent with his son Robert, whether attending music concerts and shows or sharing precious moments enjoying each other’s company. Robert was his most cherished gift in life.

Robi was "one of a kind" as many would say about him. His sense of humor, sharp wit, tender and caring heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A period of Calling hours will be held Saturday November 4th from 12 noon to 2 pm followed by a prayer service at 2 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.   Burial with his wife Cheryl will be held privately.   In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Worcester Fire Ramp Gang, care of the United Way of Central Mass, 18 Chestnut Street, suite 530, Worcester, MA 01608.
