Richard W. "Ricky" Fegreus

Richard W. “Ricky” Fegreus, 72, passed away at home in Shrewsbury on Friday, September 11, 2026. He is survived by his siblings Karen Gaucher of Spencer, Wendy Fountain of Ware, Duane Fegreus of Worcester; his very best friend and companion Tina Fields; step-sons David, Daniel, and Joseph Huard; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Linda (Kwiatowski) in 2008, and his sister Janet “Cindy” Jolie.

Ricky was born in Worcester on January 25, 1954, in Worcester, son of the late Paul Fegreus and Miriam (Latti) Fegreus Caine. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1972 and attended Massachusetts College of Art. He worked as a laborer for Washington Mills- Electro Minerals Corp. He was extremely artistic and brought his work to life by creating beautiful sculptures and capturing moments in time through photography. He was also a talented writer.

Ricky lived in Shrewsbury for the majority of his life. He enjoyed his time living at Edgemere and at Shrewsbury Housing where he made many friends and enjoyed the community. Growing up, he loved to spend his time playing little league baseball pitcher for Shrewsbury and on his Edgemere baseball team. He was an avid golfer who found great enjoyment in the game. As a teenager, he was a caddie at local golf courses. He was on the Shrewsbury High School golf team. Ricky could always be found enjoying a PGA tournament on television. He also dearly loved his Pomeranian dogs, Lady and Puppy, which were a cherished part of his life.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00am at All Faiths Cemetery, 9 Island Road, Worcester. Please meet directly at the cemetery. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
