Renee A. Lavoie

Renee A. Lavoie, 66 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at UMass Medical Center with her family by her side. 

Renee was born in Gardner, MA., a daughter of the late Roger A. and Mary E. (McGrellis) Lavoie. She grew up in Worcester where she graduated from Clark University. Renee recently worked as a truck driver for the City of Worcester Sewer Department. She was extremely proud of her Native American heritage, loved anything that had to do with nature, gardening and country music. She also had a beautiful husky named Nakita. 

Renee is survived by her beloved husband, William R. Evans (Muhaimin); three children, Ali A. Muhaimin of Worcester, Aisha A. Muhaimin of NJ. and Muhammad A. Muhaimin of Massachusetts; two sisters, Diane (Lavoie) Rice of Vermont and Joanne (Lavoie) Adams of New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Natassia A. Enimpah, Nathaniel B. Enimpah, Geneva Ruby Smithson and Isaiah Abdul-Muhaimin; nieces, Bonnie, Tammy, and Tanya and nephews, Dave and Kevin. 

Services for Renee will be held privately.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
