Listen to Obituary

Randall L. Coop, 72, of Worcester, a husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by the family he loved, Saturday, September 5, 2026, after a series of health challenges.

Randy was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of Edwin and Ethelyn (Roberts) Coop. He met Gloria Martini, while living in Florida, a mutual friend introducing them. Five months later, they were married, settled in Worcester, and have lived here for the past 42 years raising their family. Randy worked to take care of his family as a receiver/shipper and as a house painter before becoming disabled and retiring.

He is survived by Gloria, his daughter Jessica, whom he was so proud of; his best friend and grandson, Jameson Fahlbeck; a brother, Brian (Marsha) Coop of Indiana and sister, Joanne (Charlie) Turner of Tennessee; his closest friend Tony Moody, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Randy was predeceased in death by his sister Terrilyn and brother Edwin Jr.

He loved music, and was an accomplished guitarist who taught his grandson the joy of making music. Randy also enjoyed playing softball, golf and traveling with Gloria in their custom van to many destinations. He loved watching Westerns, Star Wars and Harry Potter movies with Jameson and his faithful companion Sammie. His family was his world.
