Pompeo A. Brignola, 46, of Northampton, passed away on September 5, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

Pompeo is survived by his parents, Michael and Antoinetta (DiMeo) Brignola, both of Worcester; his brother, Joseph Brignola of Westminster; his sister, Maryanne Brignola of Worcester; aunts and uncles, Maria (Brignola) Hamilton and James Hamilton, Giovanni and Bobbie (Orrico) Brignola; grandmother, Angelina DiMeo (Amoroso 96 years young); uncles and aunts from Italy, Rocco and Anna, John and Stefania, Roberto and Christina DeMaio; two aunts from Castel Morrone Caserta Italy, Elena and Iolanda Dello Stritto, other cousins from San Clemente, Vincenzo, Lena, Pina Clemente Amoroso; more cousins from Parco Cerasole (Caserta), Pompeo, Alessandro, Angela, twin brother Mark DiMeo. Cousins from Worcester, Linda Anna Lopez Hamilton and Paul Lopez, James Hamilton, Jr.; cousins from England, Enrico, Stefano, and Rocco; cousins from New Jersey, Vincenzo and Domenico; cousins from Casale Castel Morrone Caserta, Lena, Maria, and Antoinetta, Giovanni Tariello from Casolla Casertatwo; second cousins Frank Caputo and his wife Angela and family, and Angelo Gallo and family.. He was born in Worcester and graduated from Worcester North High School.

Pompeo enjoyed basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, and remained in sporting activities after his accident. His nickname was “Pomp44”. He lived in Northampton and enjoyed spending time downtown, where he acquired many friends over the years. He will be remembered for his good heart and his jovial nature. He loved having cats and dogs as companions.

Calling Hours will be on Sunday, September 21, from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be on Monday, September 22 with a Funeral Mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Entombment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
