Phyllis R. (Morin) Dick, 93, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Phyllis was born in Worcester, one of two children of Philip and Alice (Vigneault) Morin. She was raised in Holden and Worcester and after high school, she worked as a drafting clerk in the engineering department of New England Telephone. She then married and moved to Connecticut where her husband was stationed in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. After several years as a Navy wife, Phyllis moved back to Worcester, where she worked and retired from St Vincent Hospital.
Phyllis was predeceased by her former husband Ernest C. Dick, Jr., her beloved daughters, Kathleen Farrell and Diane Dick and her brother, Richard “Dick” Morin. She leaves behind her son-in-law, John Farrell of Worcester; her two cherished grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Mimi," Ryan Farrell and his wife, Magdalena, and Ashley Wilbur and her husband, Johnathan; her four adored great-grandchildren, Jameson, Tyler, Sylvia, and Annalise; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Phyllis found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading, tending to her houseplants, and relaxing with her favorite television programs. Above all else, her family was the center of her world. Holidays, celebrations, and time spent together brought her the greatest happiness, and those treasured moments will remain lasting memories for all who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 6, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis's memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215, or online at www.joslin.org/donate.
