Peter David Heenan, Worcester and Holden, MA, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 76 with his family by his side. Peter was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Michele (MacKoul) Heenan, his parents, Edward and Eunice (Hallam) Heenan, his brother, James Heenan, and his sister, Kathleen LeGacy.
He is survived by his children: Neil (wife Jillian), Michael (partner Kara), and Christian (wife Leslie), four grandsons; Collin, Caiden, Julian and Noah, and brother John. Peter also leaves behind his devoted partner, Susan Foley, with whom he shared his later years.
Peter graduated from North High School, Class of 1967, and went on to earn a degree in marketing from Nichols College in 1972. He had a successful career in marketing, which gave him the opportunity to travel the world. Peter worked in Sales and Marketing in New England, Augusta, GA, and ultimately in Canton, OH, where he was the VP of Marketing for MK Morse Co., until his retirement. Upon retirement, Peter returned to Worcester to be with his family. Peter was a past President of Jack Barry Little League and East Side Babe Ruth.
In addition to attending his grandsons' sporting events, Peter enjoyed golf and vacationing on Ogunquit Beach with his family and extended family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Susan for her unwavering support and companionship, which brought Peter great comfort and joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 9-11 am with his funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
