Born in Worcester on March 27, 1955, he was the son of the late Odysefs Pantazis (2016) and Phyllis (Filanthi) (Karagianis) Pantazis.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Pantazis of Boston and Alexander Pantazis of Warwick, RI; his mother, Phyllis Pantazis; his brother, Fotios Pantazis and his husband, Lee Bell of Charleston, SC; his sister, Marina Prifti and her husband, Michael of Paxton; his niece, Danielle Prifti of Worcester; his nephew, Peter Prifti of Boston; and his former wife, Rita Perri of Shrewsbury.
Paul attended Chandler Street Elementary School and was a 1974 graduate of South High School. He was an avid athlete who especially loved baseball and basketball. Throughout high school he was inseparable from his best friends, Stanley and Mike. He continued his education at Central New England College, earning a degree in computer programming. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a computer analyst with the Massachusetts State Police in Boston and Framingham until his retirement in 2017.
A passionate Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, he especially treasured watching games alongside his father. He was always ready to help family and friends with their computer problems and took great pride in solving even the most challenging issues.
A faithful parishioner at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Paul found deep comfort in his faith, volunteering his time and reconnecting with lifelong friends within the warm embrace of the church community.
Private funeral services were held at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, followed by burial at Hope Cemetery, where Paul was laid to rest near his father.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pavlos’ memory may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
He will be profoundly missed by those who loved him most.
