Paul R. Treantafel, 59, of Barre, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Paul is survived by his devoted and loving wife of thirty-six years, Linda J. (Kobel) Treantafel; a son, Joshua M. Treatafel; a daughter, Elizabeth J. Treantafel; a grandson, Quintin Leo Pacheco; his mother, Maddalena (Chiacchiari) McDonough; a sister, Deb Powers; two brothers, Christopher Treantafel and Michael Treantafel; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John McDonough.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Pembroke and graduated from Silverlake High School. He later graduated from Rob Roy Academy in Worcester. Paul was a talented barber for many years in Worcester and Leicester. He later transitioned into a career in retail working for several companies over the years including GameStop, Toys R Us, and most recently Ocean State Job Lot. Paul was a tireless worker, enjoyed being with his family, tending to his garden, and doing puzzles. It was important to Paul that anyone he interacted with walked away with a smile on their face.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 11 am until his Memorial Service begins at 2 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers Paul would like donations to be made in his name to either Second Chance Animal Shelter in East Brookfield MA, or The American Cancer Society.
