Paul E. Henderson

Paul E. Henderson, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026 surrounded by love in the comfort of his daughter’s home in Warren, MA. He is survived by his four beloved children- Paul Henderson and his wife Debra, Paula Paldino and her husband Peter, Kimberly Pultorak and her husband Steve, and Debra Mahnoori and her husband Bijan; his adored grandchildren- Tara, Perry, Mario, Riley, Olivia, and Tony; three great grandchildren- Emma, Max, and Henry; and Phil Robinson who was like a brother to him. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Doris A. (McKnight) Henderson in 2015 and his brother Daniel Henderson.

Paul was born on April 9, 1941 in Troy, New York, son of the late Daniel and Ida (Shufelt) Henderson. He worked for building trades at Paul Revere Life Insurance Company. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Paul’s devotion to physical fitness was truly remarkable. For decades, he lifted weights with determination and discipline. Even into his 80s, he maintained a steadfast routine, rarely missing a day at either Impact Fitness or the Greendale YMCA.

Outside the gym, Paul was a man of diverse talents and interests. He found peace in the calm of fishing, he loved to draw and create art, and his affinity for music was equally profound. Paul played guitar with enthusiasm and was once a member of the band Jacob’s Ladder. Above all, Paul loved his family. They were truly the light of his life.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
