Patrick Michael Swett,59, of Worcester MA died September 27, 2022 at Life Care Center of Auburn, after battling an illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Hopper. He leaves a bother, Shawn Hopper, and a sister, Kelly McCoy; nephews Brandon McCoy, Tre Spence, and Andre Evans; great-niece and nephew Jennalyse McCoy and Brandon McCoy, Jr. He also leaves his caretaker, Zokieyah Knuckles, her mother Cecelia Stevens, and her children Cornelius, Michael, and Agnes, who shared a very special bond with him. Patrick will be greatly missed by many friends from HMEA Sterling and Seven Hills Foundation, along with the Liberian community.
Although he lived with a disability, Patrick made friends wherever he went, and he had a servant’s heart. He was always serving at New Hope Missions Church, whether it be as an usher or providing cleaning services. He loved watching baseball and could recite the name and number of every player who got up to bat. He was also a huge fan of the Boston Celtics. An enthusiast of all music, Patrick particularly enjoyed the Beach Boys, Elvis, and Diana Ross.
Friends are invited to a period of visitation on Saturday, October 8, from 12:00-1:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the visiting hour, with Reverend Dr. T. Dweh Wiah officiating.
