Patricia L. Collins, 82, of Worcester, passed away in her beloved home on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Patricia was affectionately known to everyone as Worcester’s “Aunt Pat”. Daughter of the late Edward J. and Marion L. (Flynn) Collins, she was born and grew up in Worcester and lived independently the way she wanted to for over 50 years in her Paine Street home, something she was very proud of. Pat was the owner of the former Lincoln Street Video as well as a daycare provider and a foster mother to many children over the years. Pat was a faithful member of St. Bernard’s Church at Our Lady of Providence Parish, attending the Saturday 4:00 pm Mass and assisting the church by passing the offering basket. She formed many deep friendships over the years with people who treasured her wit and unique storytelling ability. She loved her daily walks, scratch tickets and keno, and often enjoyed her time listening to country western music, especially Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, on her porch which she named “Pat’s Lounge.”
Pat is survived by her sister, Diane Markowski of Worcester; her nieces and nephews, Kae (Kerriann) Collins and her wife Bex Zumbruski, Amy Conners, her husband James and their children, Millie-Pat Pat and Kae, Jr., Richard Renauld and his daughter Abigail, Jeanne Rafferty, her husband Richard and their children, Travis, Jack, Meredith and Mackenzie, Mikey Collins, Stephanie Carlson, her husband Matt McNutt and their children, Adelyn and Liam, Melanie LeBlanc, her husband Brad and their children Mason and Lydia, Paul Roche, his wife Joyce and their children Alison and Kelley, Don Markowski and his children Jared and Stephen, Pamelyn Collins and Keith Collins and his son Joey; two foster daughters, Marcy Supovitz and Ellen Gardell. She is predeceased by five brothers, Lawrence Collins, Edward J. Collins II who was her lifelong best friend, Neil Collins, Melvin and Richard, and two deeply loved nieces, Marianne Peterson-LeBlanc and Lorainne Carlson, and a nephew, her buddy Sean Collins.
Pat’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Katie Begley, Jenna Balestrini, Victor Infante, Lea Deschenes, Gary Hoare, Vic Leeds, Nicole Belanger as well as Fr. Jonathan Slavinskas for the years of care and friendship they gave to Pat.
