Pamela J. (Hill) Whitney, 62, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Mariam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. Her loving husband of thirty-three years, Scott A. Whitney, predeceased her in May of this year.
Pamela is survived by a son, Andrew S. Whitney of Worcester; her mother, Theresa (Bowen) Hill of Osterville; two sisters, her twin Paula McGarrell widow of the late Stephen McGarell of Hyde Park, and Patricia Hill of Framingham; a brother, Paul Hill of Gloversville, NY; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pamela was born in Framingham, daughter of the late, Douglas Hill. She graduated from Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School, later graduating with a degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Pamela worked in customer service at Best Buy, having previously worked at Anderson and Mosaic Company and as a corporate architect with Staples and TJX companies. She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was active in Joe DiMaggio Little League where she tended the concession stand and often volunteered for other League duties. She enjoyed fishing, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and extended family and friends. She was always the first person to lend a helping hand in an effort to help others.
Pamela’s family would like to thank all the “angels” at the Parlin Hospice Residence for their care, compassion, and support shown not only to Pamela, but shared with her family as well. This tender care allowed Pamela to live her final weeks in comfort surrounded by those who loved her.
