NORMAN G. LIMOGES E.d.D., of Leicester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved.

Norman was a beloved husband, father, uncle, educator, former priest, mentor and friend to many, who was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, on February 15, 1934, the son of William and Irene (Lambert) Limoges. At the age of 22, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa. Following this, he began pursuing a Licentiate of Sacred Theology at the same institution — an era that proved pivotal in his own personal exploration of how he would combine teaching with his spirituality, compassion, and desire to help others. A self-professed “lifelong learner,” Norman was a proud “Double Eagle,” having achieved both his master’s in psychology and his Doctorate in Education from Boston College.

In May 1960, Norman became an ordained Catholic priest with the Diocese of Concord, New Hampshire. After his ordination, and while serving as the Founding Administrative Headmaster at Bishop Brady High School, and servicing as the priest to the cloistered Sisters of Carmel order. Norman’s commitment to serving academia continued in 1971 and included roles at Assumption University, Shrewsbury Public Schools, Anna Maria College, Worcester State University and culminated with his more than decade long service from 1987-1998 as the Superintendent of Schools for Leicester, Massachusetts–an achievement for which he was most proud. During his time as Superintendent of Schools in Leicester, Norman stewarded the construction of a modernized high school, increased academic performance and faculty morale, and is widely recognized as the driving force behind an unprecedented level of collaboration between elected officials and school administrators

In addition to his educational and career achievements, Norman prioritized being a loving and devoted husband to his best friend and the love of his life, Marie and being a father to his son and daughter, Roger and Nicole.

In addition to his rank as Sergeant in the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts, and his knighthood with the Sovereign Military order of Malta, Norman was a member of the Worcester Bohemian Society, a men’s social club founded in 1897, as well as a member of several wine societies including Chaine des Rotisseurs, Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, and the International Wine and Food Society. Alongside his wife, Marie, Norman was also a member of the Worcester Club. Norman additionally served on the Board of Directors of the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys in Leicester and for a time on the Town of Leicester Advisory Committee.

Nearly every aspect of Norman’s life was rooted in serving others. Whether it was his immediate or extended family, those whom he brought religious comfort in times of crises, the students he taught and guided during his career in education, or friends and neighbors, Norman will be remembered for always having extended his love and empathy, and always having lent a helping hand in his perpetual pursuit of improving the lives of everyone around him.

Norman is survived by his loving wife Dr. Marie Caparso-Limoges; son, Roger Limoges; daughter, Nicole Limoges; granddaughter, Jovanna Bertrand; sisters-in-law Marina Limoges, Mary Limoges, and Jean Campaniello; brother-in-law Richard Caparso (wife, Joan Caparso), and numerous nieces and nephews

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, William and Irene; brothers, Donald, Raymond and Richard Limoges; sister, Pauline Veayo (husband, Galen Veayo); mother-in-law and father in-law, Mary and Philip Caparso—all of whom Norman loved deeply; his brother-in-law, Michael Campaniello; and nephews, Mark and David Campaniello.
