Norma C. Papagni

August 10, 1930 — December 26, 2022

Norma C. (Giguere) Papagni, 92, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022.  She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Joseph J. Papagni, who predeceased her in July 2004.

Norma is survived by two children, Christina M. Papagni and her companion David Gagne of Millbury and Stephen G. Papagni and his wife Joanne (Zaremba) of Dennis Port; a sister, Lorraine Johnson of Vero Beach, FL; three granddaughters, Jessica, Lauren, and Jamie; seven great grandchildren; her beloved dog Abby; nieces and nephews.  Norma was predeceased by a son, John J. Papagni, and by three siblings, Wilfred and Leonard Giguere and most recently in November by Muriel Rinaldo.  Norma was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Henry W. and Christine (Beaumier) Giguere.  She was raised in Worcester and graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy.

Norma worked as an administrative secretary at the Worcester Public School Department, retiring when she was only seventy-five.  She was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church, where she served as a lector.  She enjoyed singing and was a member of the “barbershop” group “Sweet Adeline’s”.   Norma volunteered her time as a “reader to the blind”, where she would read the local news and other stories to listeners.

Her funeral was held privately.
