Nancy (Lewis) Mastrototoro

Nancy L Mastrototoro, 86, a longtime Shrewsbury resident, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday August 21st, 2023, with devoted family members gathered at her side.  

Nancy was born in Waltham, the daughter of Lauren F. and Gertrude V. (Joudrey) Lewis.  Raised and educated in Worcester, Nancy married the “Love of her Life” Peter Mastrototoro, in 1958 and moved to Shrewsbury, where she has lived ever since.  Her love Peter left her side on August 14, 2004.  Nancy continued to lead her family as matriarch.  

She is survived by her five children, Sandra J. Mastrototoro of Auburn, Leonard D. Mastrototoro and his wife Rebecca of Jefferson, Andrea L. Mastrototoro of Worcester, Peter L. Mastrototoro and his partner Kelly Mackey of Monson, Laura M. Mastrototoro of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Peter, Angela, Noah, Isabella, Bud, Lilliana, and Lola; a great grandson Silas; two sisters in law, Sheila and Patricia Lewis; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.   Nancy, a member of a large family with seven children, is the remaining sibling.  Sarah Brown, William Lewis, Jean Bradley, Victor Lewis, Diane Stanley, and David Lewis predeceased her.   

Nancy was a member, former Youth Choir director and Dorcus society of the Christ Baptist church. She enjoyed swimming, tennis, and going to the movies.   Nancy was the leader of her family, a stay-at-home mom, nothing was more important than the support of her husband and children.  Nancy cherished the moments she could babysit her grandchildren, enjoy them during the holidays or just the family dinners and special occasions.

Funeral services and burial in Mt View Cemetery were held privately.  Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Christ Baptist Church, 34 Granby Rd, Worcester 01604.   The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
