Milton M. Kerr, 77, passed away on October 8, 2025, after an extended illness. He was the devoted husband of Ann Waidelich Stamm for 43 years. Born in New York City on October 29, 1947, to Henry Arthur Kerr and Beryl Brown Kerr, Milton was the oldest of 5 children and is survived by Marilyn Kerr and Michelle Kerr. His sisters Elaine Kerr Curley and Yvonne Kerr predeceased him. He is the father of one daughter, Tanya Kerr.
He graduated from Charles Evans High School and Worcester State University. He served in the United States Army as a Private First Class and did a tour in Vietnam. Milton was employed in a local bank and also worked as an employment counselor for the Veteran’s Shelter and State Unemployment office.
As a creative author, Milton published 8 novels and 7 anthologies of poetry. He was the editor and publisher of two literary periodicals titled Love’s Chance and Fighting Chance for 20 years. Milton was a talented musician who performed on guitar, keyboard and percussion with local entertainers and in a band called Spinal Cobra. He recorded numerous CD’s, and his music has been recognized for its originality. Milton was also the author of plays which were performed by local theatrical groups and on the radio.
Calling hours have been scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel on 370 Plantation Street in Worcester. A funeral service will be held at Mercadante at 10:30 am followed by a burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
