Michael W Casello

Michael W. Casello, 47, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, after an extended series of health challenges.

Born and raised in Worcester, Michael was the son of Linda C. (Martocchio) Casello and the late Michael P. Casello. A lifelong resident of Worcester, he graduated from South High School and remained connected to the community throughout his life. Michael worked as a telemarketer for a number of companies over the years.

Michael's greatest passion was supporting local high school athletics, and was known as Shamrock Holmez II on various social media platforms. A proud and loyal South High School alumnus, he was the familiar face of ShamrockSports508.com at games and events, where he cheered on student athletes and volunteered his time in support of their programs. His dedication to local sports extended beyond the sidelines through his podcast and YouTube channel, where he celebrated and highlighted high school athletics, giving well-deserved recognition to local teams, coaches, and student-athletes. His enthusiasm and commitment impacted everyone who shared his passion.

Michael is survived by his mother, Linda C. (Martocchio) Casello; his sister, Nicole S. Casello and her husband, Timothy Persson, of Mendon; his niece, Ella; his nephews, Jeffrey, Andrew and Taylor; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, July 25th from 11:00 am to 2:oo pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  follow by a Celebration of Life service.  Burial will be private
