Mary C. Alexandrowicz

Mary C. (Davis) Alexandrowicz, 95, of Millbury, a retired Registered Nurse and Army Lieutenant serving as a Surgical Nurse, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her husband and daughter at her bedside.

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of seventy-one years, Alfred “Fred” F. Alexandrowicz; a daughter, Lynne Alexandrowicz and her husband Craig Condit of Millbury.  She was predeceased by a son, Stephen.  Mary was born in Worcester and was the last surviving of seven children born to the late Archer C. and Johanna (Crimmins) Davis.

Mary graduated from the former Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, where she worked for several years before serving as a Lieutenant in the Army, as a surgical nurse, during the Korean Conflict.  While serving at the 147^th General Hospital, she met the man that would become her loving husband. 

Calling Hours will be on Monday, May 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral will be on Tuesday, May 9, from the funeral home, departing at 9:40 a.m. in procession to a 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
