Martha ((Garofoli) Mastrorio

Martha G (Garofoli)) Mastrorio, 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 15th surrounded by the people she loved. 

Martha was born on June 25th, 1929 in Worcester to Mauro and Anna (DiGiorno) Garofoli. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School. Martha was married to Michael Mastrorio for 62 years until his passing in 2012. She was an amazing stitcher for RJ Toomey and the David Clark company. She was a great worker and an unbelievable friend and was able to enjoy her friends through her work as well as many outside activities.   She was so happy to have lived the remainder of her life, at home,  cared for by her son John and visited by friends and family.

She is survived by her three children; Joseph Mastrorio and his wife Donna of West Springfield, MA; John Mastrorio with whom she lived and Joann Randell and her husband Robert of Warwick, NY. The loves of her life were her six grandchildren Michael, John, Gabrielle, Hailey Taylor and Jaret. Martha also had several nieces and nephews that were her extended family. She is predeceased by her parents and two brothers, John and Vincent Garofoli.

Martha was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and it’s Golden Years club. Tuesdays were very special days for her! Meeting with friends, being with family, puzzling, crocheting and reading were the highlights of her days.

Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate her life on August 23rd from 4-7 PM at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street. Funeral services will be held on August 24th at 11:00 AM starting  with a procession towards Our Lady of Loretto Church, 37 Massasoit Road,. Burial will be at St, John’s cemetery.
