Mario J. Caputo, 55, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at his home.
Mario is survived by his loving children, Joseph L. Caputo and his wife Andrea of Worcester, Amanda L. Caputo of West Boylston, Danielle M. Simpson and her husband Tim of Clermont, FL, and Bianca A. Caputo of Hardwick, VT; his devoted mother, Antonia (DelloStritto) Caputo; a brother, Frank J. Caputo and wife Angela of Worcester; two grandsons, Anthony and Lorenzo; niece Alyssa, nephew Frank Jr. and many friends. Mario was born in Worcester, son of the late, Leno Caputo and has lived here all his life.
Mario worked at Steve’s Pizza in West Boylston for over twenty years; he had previously worked as a chef at several local restaurants. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, listening to classic rock, going to concerts, and was a car enthusiast interested in anything MOPAR, (especially Barracudas and Plymouth Valiants.) He had a great sense of humor, and made friends everywhere he went. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Calling Hours will be on Monday, October 28, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Service will be on Tuesday morning, at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home (please arrive starting at 10:30 a.m.). Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
