Marie R. Quill

Marie R. (Freda) Quill, 94 of Worcester, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Michael and Rose M. (Russo) Freda. She graduated from Commerce High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Worcester School of Business.

In her younger years, Marie enjoyed summers in Maine and winters in Florida, traveling alongside her husband, spending afternoons at the casino, and sharing countless lunches with her girlfriends. To her family, she was “Nana”, always there for the big milestones and the little everyday moments. She was the heart of her family, loving with a devotion words could never truly capture. From sleepovers and tea parties to summer vacations, from rolling meatballs to baking brownies and Italian cookies, she filled her family’s lives with so much happiness.

Marie leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Robert J. Quill; her daughter, Kathleen Robinson and her husband, Randy; two sons, Robert M. Quill and his long-time companion, Cindy Bradway, and James P. Quill and his wife, Debra; and her sister, Teresa Losapio. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jessica Quill, Jenelle Nolet and her husband, Jonathan, and Julia Quill and her fiancé, Antonio Paulino as well as a great-grandson Anthony James Jepson. Marie was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jenna Marie Quill.

A graveside service for Marie will be held on September 22, 2025. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
