Marie was born in Beirut, Lebanon, daughter of the late Phillip and Kathrine (Hilane) Bachour, and graduated high school there, before moving to Worcester in 1982.

Marie and her husband operated a restaurant in Lebanon for many years, before moving their family to the United States. She worked in Worcester for the Abdow Family at “Big Boy” Restaurants. She was a member of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral.
