Margaret E Wolniewicz

September 6, 1921 — October 20, 2022

Margaret E. “Peg" (Feeherry) Wolniewicz, 101, of Worcester, passed away peacefully at St. Mary Healthcare in Worcester on Thursday, October 20, 2022. She was born on September 6, 1921 in Worcester to David A. and Julia E. (McCarthy) Feeherry. Peg married the love of her life, Conrad T. Wolniewicz, on June 18, 1966 and they spent 39 loving years together.

Margaret attended St. Paul's Elementary School and graduated from Classical High School and Worcester School of Business Science in Worcester. She was a member of the Girls’ Glee Club, Mixed Chorus, History Club, Tiger Club, and the Senior Song Committee. As her yearbook so aptly noted, “Peg represents the best in vocal talent that Classical has to offer as those who have heard her solos in any of our concerts will testify”.

Peg was employed for 33 years in the admitting office of the former Worcester City Hospital. Her musical endeavors included performing with the Worcester County Light Opera and as a soloist at St. Paul’s Cathedral and St. John's Church. She enjoyed reading, vacationing in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, extensive socializing with her husband and friends and taking exotic sea cruises. Peg was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She would frequently take her nieces and nephews out for a “spin" in her numerous new cars. The bigger the “boat” the better. Margaret was known to have a “lead foot" when behind the wheel.

“Aunty Margaret" leaves her ten nieces and nephews: Victor and David Kruczynski of Rochdale, Margaret “Peggy” Bonina of Worcester, Mary Bonina and her husband Mark Pawlak of Cambridge, Anne Brochu of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Mary McNamara of Holden, John “Jack” Bonina and his wife Christina of North Grafton, Kathleen Walsh and her husband Robert of Holden, Clare Liberis of Beverly and Christopher Kruczynski and his wife Tina of Natick. She also leaves many great-nieces/nephews. Peg’s husband Connie, her parents, her sisters Mary C. Bonina and Sally A. Kruczynski and a brother David A. Feeherry, Jr. all predecease her.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary Healthcare for their loving care of Margaret throughout the years.

Family and friends whose lives Margaret touched are invited to the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester on Tuesday, October 25 from 9 a.m. until 10:15 AM., before leaving in procession to St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will be next to her husband Conrad in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
