Luis E. Rivera

Luis (Louis) E. Rivera, 66, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Life Care Center of Auburn.

Luis is survived by a son, Jovani Torres of Killeen, TX; a daughter, Nyla Iverson and her husband Erik of Graham, WA; a brother, Frank Rivera of Auburn; two sisters, Nayda Rivera and Sarah Rivera and her husband Fidel Correa, all of Worcester; two grandchildren, Jacob and Eleana; many nieces, nephews.  A nephew, Louis Franco Rivera, who was named after him, passed away in 2005.  Luis was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, son of the late Eufracio Rivera and Sylvia Diaz-Rivera.  He graduated from Worcester Vocational High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree.

Luis served proudly in the United States Marine Corps.  He had a brilliant mind and was able to fix or construct most anything he put his mind to.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be on Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m. in Section “E” at All Faiths Cemetery, 9 Island Drive, Worcester.  He will be laid to rest next to his mother Sylvia Diaz-Rivera. There will be Military Funeral Honors.
